Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the league will return to Oakland CA with the addition of the California Golden Tigers. "One of our goals this season was to rebuild the NoCal Division," stated ABA Co-Founder Joe Newman. "And we are certainly doing that and then some."
The Golden Tigers will be owned by NoCal Knights football coach Ivan Davis, who has shown an exceptional talent for recruiting and developing players. His areas of expertise include a variety of multi-media tech skills as well as creating and writing statistical programs and promotion. A graduate of California State University in Sacramento with a Career Technical Studies with emphasis on Adult Education and Corporate Management, Davis feels that he has prepared himself well for a successful team on and off the court. "No doubt this will be a challenge," added Davis, "But there is so much talent in this area and fans are really looking for exciting sports and entertainment at affordable prices, we think the Golden Tigers will take off quickly and we'll do everything we can to make the Bay Area proud."
