Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) and EAE Management Group, Inc. announced a dynamic multi-faceted partnership that will span and merge the world of sports, music, radio and television. One major key component of the ABA/EAE partnership is the ability to fuse sports with music and entertainment to create a new sound and look for young America. Another key component is the ability for both organizations to expand the visibility of indie musicians and ABA basketball players through radio and TV.
"EAE Management Group manages and controls 30+ radio stations nationwide as well as managing Amada Records/Cue Records/Capital Music Group and the ABA has over 100 teams nationwide," stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. "With all 30 of those radio stations being in key ABA markets, it is a perfect fit. This next generation strategic partnership will drive growth, accelerate innovation and fuel the needs of today's ever changing sports and music scenes on a national level and bridge the gap of the industries."
ABA Media & Entertainment CEO Tjuan Benefactor added, "This is a groundbreaking deal. I'm really excited for the ABA and the players as well as for the artists that will be able to launch and expand their careers on a national level due in large part to our new partnership. For a musician not only to get radio play on BDS stations tracked by Neilson Soundscan, but to have live performance on FUBU-TV, Verizon, Dish or any of our ABA broadcast offerings is just amazing when you think about the number of eyes and ears to which the artist will be exposed."
The ABA is not only the largest professional sports league in the US with over 100 teams; it is also the most diversified with over 75% of its owners being African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians, women, Native American and disabled. The ABA has recently signed an agreement with FUBU-TV to carry its games; Sports Radio America will enter its second year broadcasting ABA games.
"We are pleased to be partnering with the ABA and to be ushering in a new era of music and sports," commented EAE Programming Director DJ Paycheck. "The ABA has always been identified with excellence on and off the court, and we are confident the ABA will continue to put a great product on the court night in and night out. EAE Management Group is excited to bring top tier emerging artists as well as known national artists and Grammy nominated/Grammy winning producers into the mix of ABA games and to sports fans across the country and around the world."
Amada Records/Capital Music Group is the world's first revenue-sharing record label and full scale management company generating over 50 million digital sales and streams annually. The first offering from the partnership is the HALFTIME SHOW powered by Amada Records/Capital Music Group. Details will be forthcoming.
