GEORGIA KINGZ ADDED TO ABA EXPANSION

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Georgia Kingz, based in Augusta GA, has been added to the growing list of expansion teams set to begin play in November. "Patrick Meyers, the Kingz owner, is quite a young man with great basketball, community and business experience..and Augusta is a tremendous city," stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. "I have no doubt that this team will be very successful right from the start."

"We started our team with a vision - to build and sustain an organization that strives to be a factor in Georgia on and off the court," added Meyers. "I want the Kingz to be more than just another professional team to join the community. The Kingz will be no different from my non-profit organization; we will be involved with multiple churches, schools, AAU teams and other positive programs and hope to be a force on and off the court in Georgia."

Meyers is the founder of i.P.I.L.O.T (Promise I'll Land on Top), an organization based on giving back to the community, homeless, less fortunate and youth. Similar to Big Brothers & Big Sisters, the organization tries to provide youth with mentoring programs that teach academics, leadership, sportsmanship and guidance.

Patrick's sports background in baseball, basketball and football is extraordinary and he has been named All-Area and All-State in all three sports, set many records in college basketball at Life University where he was named All-American, and has played professional basketball in China, Canada and the ABA."

The General Manager of the Kingz will be Dorian Sabb; the Head Coach will be LaRon Freeman. "All of the Kingz organization will be mentors to the youth and adults as well," added Sabb.
