ABA ADDS NATIVE AMERICAN TEAM TO EXPANSION

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) americanbasketballassociation.org today announced that it has added a Native American team in South Florida as part of its major expansion for the upcoming season. "This is long overdue," stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. "There are so many great Native American players in the US and it is something that we have wanted to do for years. And at last, Federico Brodsky put it together with four Seminole Indian tribes in South Florida. We are genuinely excited."

The team will be owned by Federico Brodsky, a marketing consultant that graduated from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa and is a former international professional basketball player. He is the founder of Press On Consultants/Press on Sports that offers recreational and competitive programs that combine sports and mentoring through leadership, management and consulting services. He is also the VP of Operations and GM of the Miami Midnites, runner-up in the just completed ABA Championships and a developmental team of Maccabi Haifa of the Israeli Premier professional league.

"We have always had a strong commitment to the community with a goal to bond different cultural groups through sports, which includes providing scholarships to low-income families and bringing basketball to area schools. This opportunity with the ABA is another important part of this program and we are looking forward to a great relationship."
