ABA ADDS COLORADO COUGARS TO EXPANSION TEAMS

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.americanbasketballassociation.org today announced that it has added the Colorado Cougars based on Loveland CO to its growing list of expansion teams. "It has been very important to us that we add teams in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico," stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman. "With the addition of the Cougars, it is a great start."

The team will be owned by Brandon Williams, a native of Denver CO who was born with Cerebral Palsy, and was the first referee in the US to officate a high school basketball game in a wheel chair.

Brandon has had a lifetime of interest in sports and his ABA team is the culmination of a dream. He is currently serving as Executive Director of the MGM Employment Rights Fund and works with numerous not-for-profit organizations in the area. "I am truly excited to bring another ABA team to Colorado, added Williams. "And I am looking forward to a great season of basketball."
