The American Basketball Association Global Games (www.abaglobalbasketball.com) has completed the airing worldwide of the final 8 games during the 2014 season via a major Asian Television Network.
The agreement which lasts for the next 10 years will provide all sports programs supported by the Singapore based Monozca Foundation, which includes the US-based ABA Games, full coverage for the whole season of the league. These includes games, training camps, reality shows etc. which ABA teams and/or the league itself produces.
"The ABA is evolving in ways that will make it a global league. When I invested in the ABA in 2010, I set my sights on enabling the league to go global, with international teams training and playing in the United States. The airing of the ABA Global Games in 50 countries is a big step in ensuring that the league and the hard working team owners are given the platform to professionalise and commercialise their investments with their teams. It is important that we continue to air the ABA Games and we thank Joe Newman for the continued opportunity to work with the ABA" said Paul Monozca, Chairman of ABA Global.
ABA Global has started to send representatives to view various ABA teams for a World Cup slated in Las Vegas, USA. The Philippines has already sent its national team in 2011 to compete in the ABA's California division as preparation for an integration with one of its teams. An Israeli team has also integrated with the Miami, Florida team joining the Canadian and Chinese teams already competing in the ABA.
