The motto of the ABA is More than Just a Game. ABA teams have a commitment to their communities regularly conducting youth clinics at schools, churches, YMCA's, CYO's and community centers that cover not only the fundamentals of basketball, but good sportsmanship, honor, courage, commitment and dedication. The league sponsors one of the largest literacy programs in the US called Fast Break for Reading and a nationwide anti-bullying campaign called Bullies are Cowards. Both programs have been praised by hundreds of schools for their effectiveness. And the ABA has made a commitment to The military, police and firefighters by partnering with Proud to Serve America which honors and supports these groups. ABA teams regularly have seasonal events to support families in need at Thanksgiving and Christmas with food, clothing and funds as well as fundraising programs for not-for-profit organizations through its FastBreak Club. Truly, the ABA is More than Just a Game.
